New Revolutionaries

I think it is interesting that this year everyone is hyped up and the epithet "socialist" is being lobbed in every direction. Wall St is "getting used to this new territory" (ie-accepting tax payer bailouts); the government in taking on a new role (ie-corporate money lender).

Bullshit-on both counts. The corporations have been taking our tax dollars for a century. They took over when the feudal regimes of the pre-Industrial age disappeared. These corporations have only grown so large as they are through robbing the tax payers. We have always subsidized them, to aid them in building in our commuinities; to pay for their research and development; to keep them afloat at every crisis they have had over the decades. These auto makers and banks and insurance companies and chemical companies-if they had been denied our tax money years ago-they would have been regulated by the "market" and consigned to history. Now, they are "too big to fail".

The government has been handing them our dollars-nothing new in their position now. The only difference is that they are handing out trillions of dollars, in hysterical fits, against the loud and sustained protest of We the People. The only difference between this Welfare for the Rich now and Welfare for the Rich five years ago-they are flat out demanding that we nationalize our markets-and make outright slaves of the People. They are not making their sweet deals in secret, they are flying in to DC to demand our dollars to keep them in the class to which they are accustomed.

Well-this is fucked. Short and simple. These morons are eating themselves alive. There is precious little time for this crap. I can feel changes in my bones; I know that we are all kept apart and ill informed through our very capable Politburos-but We the People have maintained a great and constant level of organization. When capitalism is finally infected to the marrow-all this organization will be our saving grace. Who knows what the revolution will look like-but Worker control will be a common theme throughout. Right now, across the globe, the People are slowly taking over, and taking back their jobs, their homes and their destinies. Without need of ideology, through the necessity of common sense, the Workers are coming together and forging a new society.

There is no blueprint-but there is always common sense-something we Workers have a-plenty.

My beloved Fellow Workers

Over the last weeks, as we slowly sink into the hole-I have been renewed. Last week, by a band of Wobblies from Reno who traveled down here to San Francisco to protest the War of Terror. Then by my Fellow Workers in France, who are placing their CEO's under worker arrest. Then by my Fellow Workers in the UK-where they are tearing shit up.

As the stories trickle across the ocean...some making their way through our propoganda filter-a marvelously universal principle is becoming apparent. We are rejecting this system as a whole. The once proud Middle-Classes have woken up in a world where their children are starving, where there is not enough heat to get through the winter and where for the first time, they cannot be certain that their offspring will have anything of life, let alone something better.

The general reaction here in the US to these changes is hard go gauge. Many in the "liberal" fold of course fulminate against radical action. "What are these punks accomplishing?" they ask. "Tearing banks apart is useless. These anti-capitalists are wearing capitalist clothing. How dare they be so hypocritical." I got two words for this train of thought-BULL SHIT. We are accomplishing plenty-we making the message perfectly clear-this system is useless, it is accomplishing nothing but the enslavement of the People-and the People are through with enslavement. This "left intelligentsia" that sits on its hands in judgment of those driven to action are nothing more than aiders and abetters to the enemy. In the same way that We who have spoken and acted against war and thievery, we were the enemy. We were accomplices to the terrorist plot. What then do you call apathetic hand wringers who simply bow to the whims and desires of the World Bank?

I hope every bank is torn down-much the same way we Americans did in the days before the Revolutionary War-when we were fighting the Central Bank of England. Now, two centuries later, we are beholden to all manner of central banking. The degree of extent tyranny today is far greater than that wielded by King George III. It will take a greatly augmented degree of action to drive it back-and to do away with it.

"The Take"

A couple years ago, Avi Lewis, Naomi Klein and a small film crew traveled to Argentina. They were there in the days after Argentina had declared bankruptcy; the factories were shutting down; unemployment skyrocketed. People routinely experience not months of unemployment, but years.

This documentary follows the occupation of the Forja San Martin, a forge and auto parts factory near Buenos Aires. They themselves are but one of hundreds of factories taken over by the workers, and turned into worker controlled co-operatives. Through out the film, as these workers are interviewed in their factories, we see and hear what true democracy could look like. "I don't know why accounting was so hard for the bosses" one garment worker says, "how to pay the bills, buy materials and pay wages. It's addition and subtraction. Maybe I am getting ahead of myself, but I think we could run the country this way".

The amazing thing about this revolution, is that it is not ideological. There is no grand van-guard leading this. There is no centralized philosophy. There is only common sense-which leads these people to the conclusion that they have no need of managers or executives. The amazing thing about "Marxism" is that it is really common sense. Marx was not the leader of some van-guard political party. He was an analyst of capitalism. His conclusions, that wealth stolen from the many to enrich the few, would leave the world, over time, destroyed-and the People arisen in revolution.

And here it is. No central authority...just the belief that we the Workers know what's up. That we ourselves have no need of the managers' bullshit nor the executive's priviledge. I don't believe they are getting ahead of themselves, I believe that is how we should lead the counry. Our courts, our Congress and legislatures, our executives-all as corrupt as corrupt can be. Perhaps a year or two from now, when we in the "First World" feel the boot of the IMF on our necks, when we too are now going on three years of unemployment, then we too may join the ranks of workers around the world, reclaiming it for ourselves.

Already in the US, a mass movement is under way. Lead for the most part by the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign, they are leading sit-ins in foreclosed homes. They are moving homeless people and families into abandoned homes, and are breathing new life into squatters' rights.

It is easy for us to feel no progress has been made here in America-but we have the most finely polished propogand machine and Politburo ever! If the corporate news showed us what we have accomplished and what we are doing, we would feel so empowered we'd take the world back overnight. Until then, let's continue supporting the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign, the Industrial Workers of the World, and all our groups that are helping us organize our oncoming direct democracy.

Across the Aisle

We need to take a lesson from our Republocrat brothers and sisters. They have learned how to organize themselves from the top down and the ground up. They know how to drive a wedge between comrades, and leave faction where solidarity once was.

We need to cause factions within the Two-Headed-Beast-Party. The Republican Party is right now without leadership. They are a ship adrift, with no real vision of who they are and what they represent. They are viciously fighting over whether or not Rush Limbaugh is the Leader of the Party and the vision; they are desperately grabbing for women and people of color they can haul up to vindicate their assholery. Across the spectrum of elected Republicans and talking heads, there is no cohesion and no central loyalty.

The Democrats are likewise in a precarious position. They swept through the general elections in the autumn-with the legacy of their trillion dollar bail out for Wall Street. They now have a "Recovery Plan" that, like all else they do, will be scorned, manipulated and and rendered dangerous by Republican shenanigans. The bail out was, after Republican maneuvering, laden wit porkola...much like the Recovery Act. Even though they now dominate Congress and the Executive Branch, they are quite aware of their limitations, their lack of imagination and their fear of losing power to the Republicans in 2010. They took the Congress in '06-and instead of acting on their pledges, they suspended the Constitution and began campaigning for the '08 general election. Well-the campaign never stops-and Iraq, Afghanistan, health care, unemployment-they really stand a chance of continuing to be campaign rallying points.

These two parties play ball with our lives needlessly. The power struggles they engage in, not only with each other, but with the People and with all other Parties. The way that they attacked Ralph Nader, a man who has done more for this country than any other American, was accepted on the grounds of Ralph Nader being of the Green Party-and a nut. That is their game with us, those of us who will not accept their theft of our country. If you dare stand up and speak truth, even if you have been praised and lauded for it for forty years (like Mr Nader), if you stand up and speak the same truth while running for office, you are a fool, you are the other-not to be trusted. How can anyone who sees as clearly and with such dedication to equality before the law as a Nader or a McKinney, how can they be deemed crazy. The crazy are those who continually vote for these liars and thieves. The only way you will get a parties ear is by not voting for them-by proving you will vote for those who have the cajones to stand up and speak for you.

While the Demopublicans who have run for office for the last eight years have attacked anyone outside their fold, their hypocrisy has been excused and condoned by the press and the public. Obama or Bush may collaborate with whatever corporation or organization to bar the other candidates for the Presidency from debating. They may surveil these people; intimidate and threaten; smear, slander and degrade. Their mockery for anyone who seeks to attain that office without leaving behind the People is contempt for the People themselves. They preach, they intone their Gods, yet they turn and offer nothing of the love of their Lord to their worthy opponents.

Electoral politics are not the be all, end all...but they play a big role. If we want a society where we are truly free and equal, then we must drive wedges between these Republocrats. We must find the Progressives within, and strengthen them-show them how real their dreams can be. And the minority of assholes bent on owning all of us-well they will have no choice but to form a hideous coalition, and finally bed down for the long haul. That is how we seize power-that is how we take back Congress and the Legislatures; we divide and conquer. We dispel with idiocies like the electoral college and give to ourselves a world made new.

Hear, Oh Israel-

My, my. The growing unrest around the world is becoming daily more tangible. The deterioration of the Middle East only one example. Since the institution of the State of Israel following WWII, we have, as a matter of US foreign policy, guaranteed a state of strife, genocide and constant war in the once fertile crescent.

For more than a year now, with the aid of America's never ending military might, Israel has kept Gaza under constant siege. As in our policy in Iraq, civilian targets make up the majority of casualties. Schools, mosques and hospitals are fair game, and no amount of misery is too much to inflict on the enemy. It is, after all, only through their misery that they will surrender.

Now Netanyahu is conflicted. He is Prime Minister designate-but what coalition will rule Israel? Should he continue with his hard right, proto-fascist path? Should he bring in some moderates? How much does he need to change to accomodate the Obama administration? The policy of genocide carried out on behalf of the Jewish state against Muslim and Jewish freedom seeker alike are beginning to draw far too much negative press. The pictures of dead children, blown apart in the school yard; the stories of families murdered by Israeli soldiers; the constant siege of terror on Palestine-this is reaching the rest of the world-and we are not pleased.

Chances are that even by bringing in Israeli moderates, the approach to domestic policy in Israel will continue as is-with our tacit approval. Obama has made clear that he supports the use of monumental force in the oppression of Palestine. He has made his token gesture to the "humanity" of the Palestinians, and then warned them not to resist. As long as our special relationship with Israel continues, so too shall the genocide of its inhabitants. And as long as American made artillery is used on the People of Palestine, they can look at the spent casings and know who's bullets killed their children.

As we continue to dawdle down the road to economic ruin, we need look at Israel (and Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan) seriously. We support states that use military rule to enforce their wishes. They willingly imprison, torture and murder their citizens and our leaders praise the actions. The fact that we have been passing legislation to do away with our Constitution and have begun deploying the Army on American soil expressly for containing civil unrest are signs we cannot ignore. As we draw closer to the razor's edge, the reaction of our government seems to be already decided in favor of military law. If we do not wish to live in a state of terror like that suffered in Israel, Iraq or any other dictatorship that survives with our aid, then we need to strike the heart of the beast while its vulnerable.

Chew on that for a moment. Then chew on what was going on in the Delta after Hurricane Katrina. Consider Guantanamo and the rapid building of detention centers all over the US. Consider the Patriot Act, and how many thousands of people WITHIN the United States have been disappeared under its auspices.

If we do not want to watch the rise of Big Brother-then we better get busy.

Pelosi-You Moron!

So, somehow this week, Madame Pelosi has somehow acknowledged crimes against the Constitution committed by the Bush regime. Now, not two months ago, this bitch was saying that there was no evidence that Bush had done anything wrong; if anyone happened to know of any, to please pass it along. Perhaps someone forwarded Lady Pelosi a link to youtube.

While she is not saying an investigation will take place, while she is not saying anything will happen, she is saying "possibly" this can happen. Possibly we can hold war criminals and people who have committed crimes against humanity accountable. Possibly.

The initial reaction is what you would expect. People saying "gee, whore, you could have started this process years ago. We know you are just as guilty as everyone else". And of course, there are millions of Americans who know that just as many Dems have dirtied their hands with their Republican war criminal buddies. And the Pelosis (Mr & Mrs) are pretty dirty!

We need accountability. In the first month of his administration, President Obama has said he will close Guantanamo, whilst continuing to render prisoners to other countries, to be tortured by our allies. His Attorney General, Eric Holder, has taken the Bushite position in defending the US government and allies from lawsuits pursuant to their collaboration in rendition missions, that ultimately led, of course, to torture. How is closing one prison, and saying we will not torture any change at all, when we are in fact continuing to send innocent civilians off to foreign lands to be tortured by our closest dictator-allies??

Anyone walkin' around still saying the Democrats are the party of progressives is clearly deluded. We are just as enmeshed in fighting the Corporate interests of the Democratic Party as we are fighting of fascist Republicans. The "New Direction Democrats" have sold every principle we hold dear down the river. Obama may stand for us on one or two issues-but We the People are still on our own.

Hold on to Your Hats

We are now weeks away from the Obama inauguration. Unemployment continues to climb, lines at the food pantries, shelters and other services become longer. Corporate America is doing its very best to keep us all calm and pliable. The mainstream media presents the current days as a bit difficult, but something we will pull out of-perhaps within a year. Yet if one turns to any source of media or information with intact integrity, then one sees a very different picture.

The beginning of the economic scares, as all economic scares in our history, was controlled. The Wall Street, Banking and Washington elite put a great amount of time and care into developing the climate to be receptive to such threat and panics. Like the Wall Street/Congressional collaborations of the '20's, legislation was drafted favoring deregulation-"respect for our free markets"-the oversight of financial practices and their affect on the wealth producing People was disregarded. Congressmen Phil Gramm (who worked on McCain's campaign), Jim Leach and their cohorts rewrote legislation, passed in the wake of the great depression, and reopened the doors to corruption, and national robbery.

Now everyone is simply hoping Obama will change things. Fat chance. Obama has named Paul Volckner of 1980's recession fame to the newly created Presdent's Economic Recovery Advisory Board; Tim Geithner, of the New York Federal Reserve, worked with the Bush administration to orchestrate the beginning of the fall '08 economic panic-by allowing Lehman Brothers to go bankrupt. Mr Geithner was recently nominated by President-Elect Obama for Secretary of the Treasury. Jim Leach has been acting throughout the beginnings of the panic as Obama's economic advisory. If one is hoping that this charismatic young leader is going to lead us out of this crisis-one is going to be sadly disappointed.

The following paragraph is taken from an article by Global Research.

"In the period from August 1929 until he left office President Herbert Hoover oversaw a 43-month long contraction of the US economy of 33%. Barack Obama looks set to break that record, to preside over what historians could likely call the Very Great Depression of 2008-2014, unless he finds a new cast of financial advisers before Inauguration Day, January 20. Required are not recycled New York Fed presidents, Paul Volckers or Larry Summers types. Needed is a radically new strategy to put virtually the entire United States economy into some form of an emergency 'Chapter 11' bankruptcy reorganization where banks take write-offs of up to 90% on their toxic assets, that, in order to save the real economy for the American population and the rest of the world. Paper money can be shredded easily. Not human lives. In the process it might be time for Congress to consider retaking the Federal Reserve into the Federal Government as the Constitution originally specified, and make the entire process easier for all. If this sounds extreme, perhaps revisit this article in six months again.
